We will provide comprehensive services in all areas related to anti-counterfeiting agenda, in particular:

  • evaluation and proposal of an appropriate strategy 
  • preparation and filing of Applications for Action (AFA) in accordance with the Czech Act No. 355/2014 Coll. and the EU Regulation 608/2013.
  • monitoring the rights that are covered by AFA, sending timely reminders to renew the rights or to extend the AFA
  • representing the client in administrative, criminal or civil proceedings 
  • securing evidence for civil proceedings
  • sending C&D letters to infringers
  • representing clients on training seminars of Czech authorities
  • monitoring Czech websites for possible online infringements

How does the service take place?

Consultation

During the initial consultation, we will discuss your expectations and requirements related to anti-counterfeiting activities and protection of your brand.

Legal assessment

We will evaluate the suitability of implementing strategy within the realms of administrative, criminal or civil measures and, if deemed necessary, prepare documentation for filing Applications for Actions.

Communication with authorities

We will represent you in communication with the authorities (be it Customs, Trade Inspection, Hygiene Stations or Police), prepare expert opinion on the basis of fixed costs and if necessary, provide representation in court proceedings.

Administration of Applications for Actions

You will be always reminded well in advance about the need to extend of the validity of Applications for Actions, or renewal of the rights that are covered by the AFA.

Monitoring of online marketplace

We will monitor the most relevant websites and provide reports on regular basis. Upon discussion, we will undertake follow up measures such as making test purchases, filing takedown requests or sending C&D letters.
