Radomír Nahodil is a patent attorney with over 15 years’ experience in the field of Industrial Property Rights. His areas of specialisation are organic chemistry, biochemistry and pharmaceuticals. He has been working in the Law and Patent Offices of THK since 2010. He mainly represents clients in patent application proceedings, as well as representing parties in litigation in the fields of organic chemistry, biochemistry and pharmaceuticals.
Mr Nahodil is a graduate of the Faculty of Science of Charles University in Prague. He worked as an examiner at the Patent Department of the Industrial Property Office in the Research of Patent Applications Section. There, he concentrated on the processing of organic chemistry, biochemistry and pharmaceuticals patent applications. Mr Nahodil completed a two-year specialisation course which was conducted by the Industrial Property Training Institute. He also participated in seminars organised by the European Patent Office. These seminars were held with the aim of thoroughly examining patent applications, researching the databases of patent and non-patent literature, as well as dealing with the issue of written communications with applicants during patent application proceedings. In addition, Mr Nahodil worked in the Industrial Property Office in the capacity of coordinator for International Patent Classification. He participated, too, in meetings related to International Patent Classification issues, which were held by the WIPO. Examples of these meetings include: the Committee of Experts in Genéva, or the working meetings; to discuss patent classification; which were held by the European Patent Office. As well as his native Czech, he is fluent in English.
